Why Do We Celebrate Diwali?

According to Hindu mythology, on this day Lord Sri Ram came back to Ayodhya after 14 years. Lord Sri Ram spent his 14 years in Jungle which is called Vanwaas. When he came back to Ayodhya, lamps were lit by people of Ayodhya to welcome their king Sri Ram and this celebration was called Diwali. Diwali is also a symbol of victory of truth over lie. On this day people worship Lord Ram, Goddes Laxmi, and Lord Ganesha for a peaceful and prosperous life.
